Nadi Filsoof Promoted to Partner

Underscore Talent has promoted talent manager Nadi Filsoof to Partner. In his new role, Filsoof will continue to manage his diverse roster of Creators and entertainers including Phaith Montoya, Charly Jordan, Lindsay Brewer, Merrick Hanna, Daniela Legarda, Vik WhiteJojo Sim, Austin Sprinz, Lexi Hensler, and Jesse Metcalfe across content strategy, brand partnerships, and IP development. Filsoof will report directly to Underscore Talent co-CEOs Dan Weinstein and Reza Izad.

“Underscore Talent prides itself on being a management company at the forefront of the social-first evolution, creating opportunities that didn’t exist yesterday for our clients,” said Reza Izad, co-CEO of Underscore Talent. “Nadi has proven time and again that he has the strategic vision not only to guide creators to global success, but to help shape the next generation of talent managers inside Underscore.”

Prior to this promotion, Filsoof served as a Talent Manager and Brand Strategy Executive at Underscore, where he brokered partnerships for clients with global brands such as Ralph Lauren, Nike, Coca-Cola, Patrón, and Mastercard.

“Creators today aren’t just looking for high-volume brand deals. They’re building their own media empires,” said Filsoof. “Underscore is uniquely positioned to support that vision, helping creators think long-term about ownership, IP, and sustainable growth. I’m excited to continue building on that legacy.”

Filsoof began his career in the UTA mailroom, later joining ICM Partners as a multi-hyphenate talent agent representing both traditional and digital entertainers. He went on to hold executive roles across Fathom Events, where he negotiated groundbreaking partnerships with AMC Networks and major entertainment guilds and then at Mattel, Inc., where he led brand partnerships and marketing for the company’s vehicles portfolio, including Hot Wheels, Disney & Pixar Cars, and Mario Kart.

Zack Evans Joins as VP, Creative Strategy at Shorthand Studios

In a strategic expansion of its services, Underscore’s Shorthand Studios has hired Zack Evans as Vice President, Creative Strategy, where he will lead social media management and content strategy for celebrities, athletes, and top creators. Evans will report to Nicholas Jacklin, Partner and President of Business Development at Shorthand Studios.

The move marks Shorthand Studios’ formal entry into the “Public Personalities” business, a growing segment in the creator economy where digital-first storytelling is shaping how traditional talent builds their presence with social-native audiences on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

“Zack brings an incredible blend of creative instinct and industry experience,” said Nicholas Jacklin, Partner and President of Business Development at Shorthand Studios. “He’s one of the rare creatives who has lived at the center of internet culture and understands how to translate that into strategy for celebrities and legacy talent looking to build modern digital brands.”

Evans joins from BuzzFeed, where he produced and directed hundreds of videos viewed by millions, helping define an era of viral internet storytelling. His work has since expanded into brand campaigns, creative direction, and content strategy for companies such as SubwayTakes, Comedy Central, Toyota, Facebook, Verizon, Netflix, and Cameo.

“At this point, social media evolved from the side channel to the main stage,” said Evans. “After years helping brands and creators shape their voices online, I’m excited to join Shorthand Studios to help public personalities tell stories that actually connect. It’s about turning ideas into impact.”

Evans is also the founder of Create.Repeat, a creative studio and community built to inspire the next generation of digital storytellers. Immediate clients under Evans’ purview include Will Clarke and Nick Norwitz, with more to be announced in the coming months.
